Guidelines For Swimming Our goal is to take the necessary precautions to help minimize the risk and spread of COVID-19.

Staff and Customers Health Screening

All staff and customers entering the aquatics building will receive a temperature check and be asked essential questions pertaining to COVID-19.

Face Mask and Face Shield

All persons entering the building will be required to wear a face-covering and keep it on while inside the building. Students taking swim lessons will not be required to wear a face-covering while in the pool. Swim instructors will wear a face shield while teaching lessons.

Reduced Capacity

Space will be limited as we have reduced the number of classes and the ratio for each class. We also ask that only one parent accompany each child to allow space for social distancing while waiting in the lobby.

Towels

Please bring your own towels.

Ongoing Disinfection

Staff will follow disinfecting protocols to disinfect surfaces regularly throughout the day.

Pool Disinfection

The U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that when swimming in pools that are properly maintained, the chlorine in the water should “inactivate” Coronavirus, which would prevent the virus from spreading.

  • We test our Chlorine and PH levels twice a day and we have a pool maintenance company that checks our pool once to twice a week. To reassure our Chlorine and PH levels are perfect.

Activities See What We Have To Offer

Lap swimming is available to our members and guests in our 4 lane, 25 yard lap pool throughout the day when no classes are being held. The pool is kept at a comfortable 84/85 degrees. Please refer to the aquatic class schedule and plan your workout accordingly.

Convenient, One-time Registration

At Delta Valley’s swim program, you need to enroll your child only once. Unlike traditional swim lessons that offer lessons only at specific periods, our stress-free, perpetual swimming lesson model is offered throughout the year. Under this program, your child will have access to our facilities year-long, with payments automatically charged every month. This ensures payment due dates are always met and your child’s spot is kept. Simply pay the processing membership fee and first-month tuition to get started.

How are class levels determined?

During the enrollment process, our staff will take great care in leading you through a series of questions. Here are a number of common questions we typically ask parents during the enrollment process:

  • Has your child taken swimming lessons before? If so, when and where?
  • When was the last lesson taken?
  • What is your child’s current school and/or activity schedule?
  • Does your child have any separation anxiety or fears about swim class?
  • How comfortable is your child in the water?
  • Can your child put his or her face in the water?
  • Can your child swim any distance without assistance or flotation devices?

Discussing these questions with our staff will help determine the most appropriate class level for your child.

How does registration work?

You can enroll your child at any time. Different level classes are offered at various times throughout the week. If you are interested in the most up-to-date schedule, check with the aquatics center at (925) 240-2990.

Once enrolled, your child will be given a spot in the class until you notify us otherwise. If you need to make a change, simply contact the aquatics center up to 24 hours before your next class. You can then find another option that better suits your needs. If you want to stop the lessons, you may do so for any reason by providing us a 30-day advance written notice of the last class your child will be attending.

What happens once a suitable class is selected?

Once a class has been found, your payment of the processing fee and the first month’s tuition will secure your child’s spot in the class. We also ask that you complete our Registration Form prior to the start of the first class. The form can be downloaded from our website or picked up from the desk in the aquatics center.

Tuition for the following months will be charged monthly via direct debit from a checking or savings account or as an automatic credit card charge. Billing date will correspond to the date of your child’s first class.
