Class Descriptions
Ab-Blast: A 30 minute intense core work on the Pilates reformer, $12 per class.
Ab-solutely Ripped: The ultimate abdominal workout! An intense non-stop workout using basic and advance exercises to strengthen your core. A great start to a great body!
Aqua Fit: A cardiovascular workout for all fitness levels. Class includes aqua jogging, shallow water walking, aqua drills, and more. Students may use aqua equipment.
Aqua 101: A gentle aqua exercise class designed for people with arthritis and related conditions. Increase strength, mobility, flexibility and range of motion. Progress in the aquatic activities can lead to independence and improved self-esteem. Participants must be able to perform exercise in the water without assistance.
Bar Method Workout: Creates a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle shaping principles of isometrics, body elongating, the science of physical therapy and intense pace of interval training.
Basic Zumba: Intro level Zumba. Learn the basic zumba steps and surprise, get your" cardio on" at the same time. This fun filled low impact class is for everyone, women, men, and seniors. All fitness levels can join in on the fitness party, young or old, ditch the work out and join the party.
Body Blast: Full body workout using tubing hand-held weights, body bars, balls, and one’s own weight for resistance training. Abdominal and stretch exercises included.
Brazilian Glutes and Abs: Work you glutes and abs with a Latin flair…Zumba style!
C.S.I. (Continous Spin Intervals): A fun spin class with high and low intensity intervals, climb sprints and flats.
F.I.T.: Challenges the athlete in you! This class combines boot camp concepts with sport conditioning. Participants use strength, flexibility, speed and coordination training. Come ready to jump, squat, push, crunch and sweat!
Family Spin: This class is for Families with babies. Mom, Dad, Babies less than 6 months, Children over 13 that can fit on an adult bike are welcome. Babies must be in a portable car seat. It is a family fun class!
Moms in motion: Join other new moms in a class uniquely designed to address your needs. We’ll work on cardio vascular health, strength training and balance work with emphasis on core strength. Babies 6-weeks to 9-months are welcome.
H20 Zumba: Adapting movements of Zumba dance rhythms in the water. Using the Zumba flavor and music. It’s a party in the water!
Kickboxing: An intense class of high energy, high impact, and total body conditioning. This class includes the fundamentals of boxing and kickboxing drills, light weight training, floor conditioning, and some partner drills. This class burns calories, is excellent for strength conditioning, builds lean muscle, tones and conditions your body from head to toe, and increases flexibility!
Muscle Pump: A class that incorporates plate-loaded weights, in a set routine pre-choreographed to music. Fun, challenging and a full-body workout.
Maximum Spinergy: All out fast, hard, high energy and intensity spinning class.
Pilates Mat: Floor exercises inspired by the work of Joseph Pilates that strengthen your body’s core muscles. Pilates exercises strengthen the body from the inside out. All levels welcome.
R.I.P.P.E.D: High energy group class that masterfully combines an easy yet effective cardiovascular routine interlaced with weights and resistance to music. Its fun created for all fitness levels and produces results you are looking for in 1 hour.
Spin Mania: Start your week with a high energy, fun spin class. You will experience hills, sprints all terrain.
Spin 101: New to spinning? This class will help you get started. Learn how to set-up your bike properly, how to climb, stand, and sprint in 30 minutes.
Sunrise Spin: Start your day early with a fun filled energetic ride on the bike, and then off to work
you go.
T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness it's Friday) Spin & Sculpt: Start with an exhilarating cycle ride, finish with strength training for chest, back, bi’s, tri’s, shoulders and abdominals. Perfect for all levels.
Yoga: Develop strength, stamina, flexibility and balance plus concentration, relaxation and focus.
Yogalates: This class will give you a combination of yoga moves and Pilates .Develop strength, stamina, balance, concentration, core strength and posture. All levels welcome.
Gentle Yoga: This intro to yoga class uses guided breathing with movement to stretch, strengthen and relax your body and mind. The selected postures allow you to gain a deeper sense of mental focus, clarity, and relaxation. This is great for beginners, post and prenatal seniors.
Zumba: Zumba combines high energy and motivating Latin music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" in order for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but is also great for the mind. It is a "feel-happy" workout!
Sports Fun and Fitness: Fun sport games to keep kids fit and healthy! Basketball, racquetball, dodge ball games, some agility drills, relays. Fun activities! Class will change each week. Check sign up sheet at child care desk for activities that week .Non members drop in $5.00 -Parents Sign up your child at the child care desk Appropriate work out clothing and tennis shoes. (No bare feet or boots)Class held on the basketball court. Ages 9-13
Junior Zumba Dance: Fitness Party packed with kid friendly routines and music increases self confidence; enhance coordination. Parents sign up your child at the child care desk. Appropriate workout attire and Tennis shoes (no bare feet or boots) Non members drop in $5-Class held in GX studio Ages 9-13.
Country Line Dance: Low impact dance class! Learn dances, meet new people, and enjoy your work out! The class will include several popular Line Dances such as 'San Antonio Stroll' ,'Wild Wild West', 'Good Times' and many more! Come join the fun! Please no black heel shoes. (Starts Sept 9th-Oct 7th), GX studio.
Snow Board and Ski Conditioning: Get ready for winter sports. This will be a 10 week series to get your body totally conditioned for snow boarding, skiing, down hill, and snow shoe. Attend 9 or more classes and your name goes in fro a drawing for 2 ski lift tickets. Starts October 17th.-December 19th.
Paid Group Exercise Classes
Accelerated Fitness Circuit: Circuit is a time efficient, high-energy circuit training regimen. All club equipment is utilize and each session varies.; Taught by personal trainers in a small 4-5 group format. Circuit training stations alternate between muscle group, which allow one muscle to rest while the next is used.; This benefit of variability challenges the skills of the participant.

Accelerated Fitness Climbing/Strength Circuit: For a full-body, metabolism boosting workout of a new dimension, try climbing & strength circuit with Kathy. She combines the climbing wall with multiple muscle group exercises designed to build strength and endurance, while toning and trimming your body.
Girls Club Fitness Circuit: Semi-private group training class, which focuses on fat loss while developing lean mass. All weight rooms are used and class exercises change daily. Great way to get results and make friends!
Pilates Reformer: Reformer is the workhorse of all Pilates equipment. It will assist you through the more challenging exercises; it can add resistance on easier exercises. The group training session is ideal for any beginning Pilates devotee to the advanced. We have beginner, Level 1, Level 2 and the Tower of Power and Ab Blast classes. This is a fee-based program, $100 four weeks; please call in advance for availability, 925.240.2990 Ext228.
TRX Training:Everyone can benefit from suspension training! Allows user to effortlessly control the resistance and level of difficulty but simply shifting the position of their body. Perfect for gentle rehabilitation, hard core athletic conditioning, and everything in between. Allows for complete range of motion while training and enable users to have a more functional workout.
